How does insurance work?

Fully comprehensive insurance is automatically included in each booking. When you make a booking, we obtain insurance for you from our insurance partner, Haven, and send you the Insurance Document by 12pm on the day your booking is scheduled to begin. The insurance we arrange for meets Uber’s strict insurance requirements. If you have had an accident, you must immediately (within 24 hours after it occurs) notify our insurance partner, Haven, of the accident, no matter how minor. They are reachable on 01732 747 100. Their lines are open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

The policy is in the name of Drover and is subject to a £500 excess. Late reporting of an accident will result in a late reporting fee of £500 making the total excess £1,000.

Windscreen and window damage are covered, subject to a £100 excess and a payment cap of £350.
